I've loved photography since my first intro course in high-school. I consider myself "old school" - most of my work is in film (35mm, medium format, Polaroid). I try to shoot everyday, even if it is only one shot, one frame.
Last summer I freelanced as Production Assistant for a photo shoot which took place on location at this artist’s loft. The artist was a painter and a friend to the photographer on the job. During the downtime, I explored this quite interesting space. It wasn’t a big space, but this particular painter crammed all sorts of goodies, nick nacks, funiture, etc all around his “work-in-progress” paintings. I definitely took advantage and shot these beautiful detail shots of his work space.

My mother and I were driving home from my Aunt’s house when I spotted this life sized bird mobile sculpture placed randomly in this open lot. I think the city of Dallas has done a lot to place art in unexpected places. I liked this mobile sculpture and snapped a shot of it looking straight up.
@2010 Melissa Martinez I saw this lovely little chair sitting in front of this grand window in an artist’s loft while I was on set at a photo shoot. I love the color of the chair with the brick wall and the blinds hanging from that hugh industrial window in the background.
